We said farewell and Anne-So’s family and spent the next two days exploring Orléans on our own. We found it a calming and beautiful city where we enjoyed the sights and some delicious French food. We’d always wanted to visit Anne-So’s godfather in Orléans and with his condition deteriorating we thought we’d book ourselves a trip to see him before it was too late. As an added bonus Orléans is just over an hour from Paris on the train so we thought we’d treat ourselves to a couple of nights and see some some of the neighbourhoods we were less familiar with.
