Emotionally drained we arrived in Paris. The autumnal sunshine slowly cleared our heads allowing the city to weave its magic spell on us. On our first day we enjoyed delicious food and wandered the canals of the Marais. On our second and final day we were inspired by art both new and familiar. Finding A Silver Lining – Orléans and Paris Intro: An Unavoidable Change of Plan

We’d always wanted to visit Anne-So’s godfather in Orléans and with his condition deteriorating we thought we’d book ourselves a trip to see him before it was too late. As an added bonus Orléans is just over an hour from Paris on the train so we thought we’d treat ourselves to a couple of nights and see some some of the neighbourhoods we were less familiar with.
