A Cheapskate’s Luxury Weekend in Prague Part 4: The King Of The Castle Plans His Retreat

Our final day in Prague began with an epic Italian breakfast at La Bottega Bistroteka that fuelled us up for a mammoth morning of sightseeing. We started our walk to Prague Castle by crossing the Charles Bridge and heading up the hill to the summit. After a leisurely stroll through St. Vitus Cathedral and the castle complex we took the scenic route back down the hill and through the old town for a locally inspired lunch of sausages and trdelnik.

It was then sadly time to head home in Business Class with British Airways which featured one of the weakest in-flight meals I’ve ever eaten. Continue reading A Cheapskate’s Luxury Weekend in Prague Part 4: The King Of The Castle Plans His Retreat

A Cheapskate’s Luxury Weekend in Prague Part 3: Brunch, Beer And Culture Lost

On our second day in Prague we started the day with one of the most amazing breakfasts we’d ever had at Eska. We needed that delicious food to fuel us through a tough day visiting the various old synagogues in the City. In the afternoon we stopped for a cubist coffee, witnessed a monument to protest, passed the wonderful Lucerna and ended the day at Lokal where we enjoyed some hearty Czech fare for a delicious dinner. Both food and drink were rather good and we made a note to return the following day. Before getting our coach I … Continue reading Eloping To Japan With A Little HEL On The Side Part 10: The Villages Of The Hida Mountains
