Emotionally drained we arrived in Paris. The autumnal sunshine slowly cleared our heads allowing the city to weave its magic spell on us. We’d always wanted to visit Anne-So’s godfather in Orléans and with his condition deteriorating we thought we’d book ourselves a trip to see him before it was too late. As an added bonus Orléans is just over an hour from Paris on the train so we thought we’d treat ourselves to a couple of nights and see some some of the neighbourhoods we were less familiar with.
